The College Park Airport is the world’s oldest continually operated airport, and to help keep it operational, this 63′-6″ x 11′-1″ Schweiss Lift Strap Bifold Hangar Door was installed by Overhead Door Company of Washington, DC™. Bifold doors with lift straps have 90% less moving parts, and require less maintenance than traditional cable-lift bifold doors. The latch mechanisms firmly hold the door against the building in all positions; securing the door when open / partially open and will firmly lock the door when closed. This particular lift strap hangar door has a walk through door and is insulated with external sheeting. The external sheeting is available in a variety Kynar paint finishes.
