According to Remodeling Magazine’s 2020 Cost vs. Value Report, upgrading a new home’s garage door ranked number two when compared to 21 other home improvements. The report’s data came from across 101 US markets and focused on the ROI at the time of sale.
Another 2018 industry study examined realtors’ estimates of perceived home value based on exterior appearance. Respondents were also asked to determine if garage door appearance made a difference in the listing price they would assign to a house.
